Key Largo Classic Surpasses $2.1 Million Raised for Charity

Since its inception in 2009, the Key Largo Classic Fishing Tournament & Auction has raised over $2.1 million for a local charity.
The 2025 event, held on July 9–10, was a two-day success. Festivities kicked off Wednesday night with the Captain’s Dinner & Silent Auction, where guests enjoyed cocktails, live music by The Collektive, and mobile bidding on exclusive items. The energy was high, and the generosity even higher.
On Thursday, 45 boats hit the water for a catch-and-release tournament targeting Redfish, Snook, Trout, and Snapper. After a full day of fishing, participants returned for a trophy ceremony and celebration at Gus’s Restaurant.
“Each year, the Key Largo Classic continues to exceed expectations,” said Rick Weber, event organizer. “We are incredibly proud of how this event has grown—not just in size, but in its impact on our community.”
Robert Taylor, CEO of BBI, added, “It’s humbling to see our team and partners come together year after year with such passion. The Key Largo Classic reflects the values we stand for: community, generosity, and making a difference where it matters most.”
With its perfect blend of fun, philanthropy, and Florida sunshine, the 2025 Key Largo Classic showcased once again that when a community comes together, incredible things happen.
