BBI Giving Back
Community Impact
BBI is committed to making a meaningful impact in the communities where we live and work. For over 70 years, we've supported local programs, volunteer efforts, and long-term partnerships through BBICares, our dedicated community impact page that highlights our charitable initiatives and outreach. Our efforts include Habitat for Humanity Broward builds, the BBI Village project, Sheridan House housing initiatives, and the Key Largo Classic Fishing Tournament, which has raised over $2.1M since 2009. Together, these programs have helped impact thousands of lives and reflect thousands of volunteer hours dedicated to strengthening our communities year-round.
Our Approach to Giving Back
BBI's commitment to community impact has been a core value since the beginning, instilled by our founders, Bob and Sherry Taylor. For more than 70 years, their legacy has guided our belief in service, compassion, and strengthening the communities where we live and work. Through BBICares, we highlight the charitable efforts, partnerships, and volunteer initiatives that reflect our ongoing commitment to creating meaningful, lasting change.
Organizations We Support
BBI has helped build 23 single-family homes and continues to support initiatives including the Bob and Sherry Taylor Park, a community mural at Habitat's ReStore, and sponsorship of two homes within BBI Village. BBI has also participated in the Habitat CEO Build for four consecutive years.
BBI supports transitional housing and family programs serving over 220 mothers and children, including 11 existing housing units with expansion underway to 13 homes supporting women and families in need.

BBI's community impact comes to life through hands-on programs and annual initiatives that bring people together in service and support, creating lasting change.
BBI Village (Habitat for Humanity Partnership)
A 20-townhome affordable housing community in Fort Lauderdale providing safe, stable homes for 96 residents, including 72 children. This initiative reflects BBI's continued commitment to housing stability and long-term community impact.

Key Largo Classic Fishing Tournament
A signature BBI event benefiting Sheridan House, with 100% of proceeds supporting children and families in need. Taking place in Key Largo, Florida, the event features a Captain’s Dinner with live music and a silent auction, followed by the fishing tournament and awards ceremony.

Employee Volunteering & Team Involvement
At BBI, giving back is powered by our people. Across the company, employees actively participate in volunteer events, fundraising efforts, and community initiatives that support local families, honor heroes, and respond to urgent needs throughout the year.
Community Runs & Cause-Based Events
- Family Values 5K — Supporting Sheridan House and local families in need
- Fire Hero Run — Honoring and supporting fallen heroes of 9/11
- Run Through Central Park 5K — Supporting Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.)
Disaster Relief & Emergency Support
- Supported Samaritan's Purse disaster relief efforts for hurricanes, Texas flooding, and California wildfires
- BBI donated directly and matched employee contributions
- Together, our team raised over $10,000 to support emergency relief and recovery efforts
Health, Awareness & Fundraising Initiatives
- Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign — Week-long employee fundraising
- Raised over $6,000 in 2025 for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation
Volunteer Impact & Hands-On Service
- 40+ team members participated in the Family Values 5K
- CEO participation in the Habitat for Humanity CEO Build (4 consecutive years)
- BBI volunteers supported a U.S. Hunger meal-packing event
- Company-wide volunteer days supporting local nonprofit organizations
Annual Holiday & Giving Campaigns
- Annual Holiday Drive collecting toys, coats, and essentials across all offices
- Supported Sheridan House, SafeHouse of Seminole County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Acadiana, Connecting a Caring Community, National Charity League, Assistance League, Hope Helps, and Billy the Kidden Rescue
