BBI Village Welcomes 20 Families Into New Homes

BBI and Habitat Broward celebrated BBI Village’s dedication, bringing 20 new townhomes to 96 residents, including 72 children.

On Saturday, May 9, BBI, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Broward, proudly celebrated the official dedication of BBI Village in Fort Lauderdale, marking a meaningful milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to expanding access to affordable housing in South Florida.

The celebration brought together future homeowners, community leaders, local officials, sponsors, volunteers, and BBI team members to mark the completion of 20 newly built townhomes. BBI Village will soon be home to 96 residents, including 72 children, providing families with safe, stable, and affordable housing in Broward County.

For the families receiving their keys, the day represented more than the completion of new homes, it marked the beginning of a new chapter. Through Habitat Broward’s program, homeowners completed 300+ hours of sweat equity and financial education, working toward the opportunity to purchase their homes with an affordable mortgage.

As shared during the ceremony by Habitat for Humanity of Broward CEO Nancy Robin, this program empowers families to achieve homeownership through dedication, hard work, and long-term support, creating lasting impact for generations to come.

BBI sponsored four homes within the development, alongside additional sponsorships from the Taylor family and Pat Grant and his family. “BBI Village represents what’s possible when businesses and community leaders work together toward a shared goal,” said Robert Taylor Jr. “With affordable housing needs continuing to rise, partnerships like this help turn real challenges into real opportunities and bring greater stability to local families.”

The event was filled with celebration and community spirit, featuring family-friendly activities including ice cream stations, build-your-own slime, and teddy bear stations for children.

The dedication ceremony was led by Craig Stevens of WSVN Channel 7 and featured local media coverage from WSVN Channel 7, highlighting the lasting impact BBI Village will have for generations to come.

BBI is proud to call Habitat for Humanity of Broward a long-standing partner in our shared commitment to expanding access to affordable housing. BBI Village represents the power of that partnership, creating meaningful opportunities for families and helping build a stronger Broward County.
