What a morning! BBI Team laced up and showed up for the 20th Annual Run Through Central Park: 5K Run & Fitness Walk, coming together in support of Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.). From early morning stretches to finish-line high-fives, this event delivered all the energy we love—community, team spirit, and dedication to a meaningful cause.
Our Team ran and walked the 5K, navigating a flat, fast course through the tree-lined streets of Plantation, including a scenic loop around Central Park’s lake and a victory finish on the track. Before the race, the team captured a group photo, marking the perfect start to a morning of teamwork. At the finish line, participants received medals, followed by post-race festivities featuring live music, prizes, food, vendors, family-friendly activities, and a crowd-favorite 400-meter Kids’ Dash.
A special highlight of the day was Leon Wegman, father of BBI team member Jean Wegman, who won first place in his age group! A longtime supporter who has joined the BBI team at many events, his inspiring achievement made us all proud and added extra joy to the day.
Events like this are a perfect blend of wellness, teamwork, and giving back, reflecting the heart of BBI and our commitment to supporting the communities where we live and work. We thank the event organizers, volunteers, participating police departments, and the incredible C.O.P.S. community for making the 20th anniversary truly unforgettable.
