Habitat for Humanity of Broward Brings the Holiday Cheer to Five Families
The holidays arrived early for five families as Habitat for Humanity of Broward along with supporters, homeowner families and friends, hosted two home dedication ceremonies to celebrate the completion of five brand-new homes.
The Benefield-Askins and Coney families received the keys to their new Fort Lauderdale residences on December 1, while the Reid, Simmons and Williams families were welcomed to their new Pompano Beach homes on December 17.
"The vision is simple, everyone deserves a decent place to live,î said Nancy Robin, Habitat Browardís CEO and Executive Director. ìTo have these families in homes for the holidays is a testimony to what can happen when we all join together as a community to make a difference."
Thanks to the contributions of home sponsors like Marine Industries Association of South Florida, Everbank, Wells Fargo, HG Charitable Foundation, BBI, Broward County Bar Associationís Young Lawyers Section, Stiles Corporation and WSVN-7, the five families will celebrate the holidays in safe and affordable homes.
