BBI at the Second Annual Habitat for Humanity CEO Build

BBI’s CEO - Robert Taylor Jr., elite corporate leaders, and dedicated community servants worked together this past weekend to help Habitat for Humanity Broward serve more families working to earn decent, affordable housing.
About 50 CEOs traded in their suits for a T-shirt, gloves, and gardening tools on Saturday, May 15th at the Rick Case Community in Pompano Beach, Florida.

The main project this year was landscaping, preparing the soil, and laying the sod.

Before COVID-19, one in seven households spent more than half of their income on housing. Today, that number is estimated to be one in four. Habitat for Humanity of Broward offers working families a way to earn an affordable mortgage kept to 30 percent of household income through the sweat equity they invest; This is the only way these families can afford decent housing, and it changes their lives.

BBI has donated a total of 14 homes and will add three new homes to the list this year.
