Sweet Success: BBI's Impact at the 2024 Sweets & Snacks Expo

The 2024 Sweets & Snacks Expo, held at the Indianapolis Convention Center from May 14 to 16, was an extraordinary showcase of innovation and unparalleled networking opportunities. Hosted by the National Confectioners Association (NCA), this event brought together candy and snack retail professionals, manufacturers, brokers, and suppliers from around the globe.

With a bigger and bolder presence than ever before, the Expo covered over 250,000 square feet of show floor space, featuring more than 1,000 exhibitors, including 320 newcomers, and attracting over 16,000 registrants from 80 countries.

Our BBI Team made a notable impact at this year's Expo, with over 60 experienced associates in attendance, including CEO Robert Taylor, President Pat Grant, and numerous Senior Executives, each representing diverse channels of trade, clients, and manufacturers. Throughout the event, our team actively engaged with industry leaders, cultivated new partnerships, and explored the latest trends, reinforcing BBI's position as a key player in the confectionery industry.

In addition to our presence on the show floor, BBI co-hosted its annual Customer Appreciation Dinner in partnership with Vistar on Tuesday, May 14. The event served as a fantastic platform for networking and expressing gratitude to our valued customers and clients while fostering relationships and promoting industry growth.

BBI also proudly sponsored and participated in the Young Professionals Network Late Night event, held in conjunction with the Sweets & Snacks Expo. The event, primarily designed for young professionals but open to everyone, took place at Pins Mechanical in the historic Bottleworks District on Wednesday, May 15.

Representing our BBI Team were Brantley Taylor, Sara Costafreda, Sam Bayless, Lindsay Grant, Olivia Mendlen, Mason Dye, and Alex Miller. Attendees enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere with a fully stocked bar, lounge area, and entertaining bar games such as Patio Pong and Giant Jenga, which provided the perfect setting for a night filled with networking opportunities, laughter, and memorable moments.
