This role drives sales growth by managing customer accounts and their retail or distribution partners. The position focuses on building strong relationships through regular inbound and outbound calls to provide account support, sell products, and introduce new items. Responsibilities include processing orders, resolving shipment and credit issues, onboarding new stores into the Telesales process, and accurately tracking all activities and performance metrics in Salesforce.com.
This role is responsible for managing and expanding food service client relationships by partnering closely with the BBI Management Team, Key Account Executives, distributors, and retailers. The position involves conducting sales calls and meetings, coordinating product demonstrations, and representing clients at trade shows and industry events.
Recipe for Success:
- BA/BS Degree preferred OR high school diploma/GED plus significant related experience.
- Previous related inside sales/telesales experience, including with entering orders, ideally in the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry, food industry or broker environment is a plus.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint at an intermediate to advanced level. Previous experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred.
- Excellent telephone etiquette and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
- A driven sales professional with a strong desire to sell over the phone.
- Ability to be available between 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, to service our account as contracted.
- Ability to successfully prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Here's a Taste of What You’ll Be Doing:
- Achieve profitable sales growth through the successful management of customers and their retailers/distributors/suppliers.
- Conduct regular calls for upselling, introduction of new products and account maintenance- 90% Inbound, 10% Outbound calls.
- Process incoming orders and other account management duties.
- Enter unsaleable/credits and research credit issues.
- Resolve shipment issues, including shorts and delivery issues.
- Contact new stores regarding the Telesales ordering process.
- Report activity in Salesforce.com to track calls, sales volume, and account details.
