BBI will sponsor a BFA curated mural at the ReStore on Broward Blvd for Habitat for Humanity Broward

The Business for the Arts of Broward (BFA), Habitat for Humanity Broward, and BBI will all be part of a mural project by renowned artist, Evoca1.

On Friday, May 13, the BFA Executive Director – Robyn Vegas, announced their partnership with Habitat for Humanity of Broward and thanked our CEO, Robert Taylor, and the BBI team for sponsoring the curated mural and lighting project.

The design, a collaboration between the artist and Habitat’s future homeowners, will touch upon what a beloved community means to them and how we can all strive for a more connected and inclusive community of opportunity for all. The artwork will build bonds that will turn them from strangers into neighbors and provide a voice to some who are most often disadvantaged by economic and social injustice. Their design will also challenge all community residents to strive for MLK’s beloved community concept - a community in which everyone has the opportunity for a better future regardless of who they are.

The artist selected for the mural that would be located at the Habitat ReStore on Broward Boulevard is Evoca1. He is a Broward resident who has painted murals worldwide.

This project will spark community conversations, inspire others to service, and bring attention to the profound impact of Habitat for Humanity Broward.
